Central Govt To Expand NH To 2 Lakh Kms In Next 3 Years, Nitin Gadkari
The Union Road and Building Minister Nitin Gadkari shared the Cengtral Government's plan to expand National Highways, in India. On June 17, during the 222nd mid-term council meeting of the Indian National Congress (INC) Gadkari said, the BJP is planning to expand NH to 2 lakh kms, from current 1.47 lakh Kms, till 2025. The development will be part of PM Narendra Modi's vision to make India a 5-trillion-economy nation.

Bharat-Series Registration Launches As Part Of Vehicle Registration
Bharat-series (BH-series) registration marks for new cars are part of series of IT-based solutions for vehicle registration announced by the government. “This scheme will facilitate free movement of personal vehicles across states and union territories of India upon relocation to a new state/ union territory," said the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH). Presently, new registration is done within 12 months' time.

NHAI Finishes 25.54 Km Road In 18 Hours; To Enter Limca Records
In a jaw-dropping display, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) achieved the feat of finishing a 25.54 km single-lane road in 18 hours. Reportedly, the feat was achieved in NH-52 between the Vijaypur-Solapur stretch. Minister Nitin Gadkari stated the construction would be recorded in Limca Book of Records.
