After Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi, actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan also missed out Jr NTR in a congratulatory post for "RRR" film's "Natu-Natu" win for original song category. Notably, Chiranjeevi and Kalyan tagged Ram Charan, but did not mention Jr NTR, who was the second lead in SS Rajamouli's "RRR." Jr NTR was also missing at the HCA Award function, which led to heavy criticism from the fans of Jr NTR.

Scott Derrickson, director of Doctor Strange, saw RRR and appreciated it on social media. He revealed that he and his family saw RRR on his birthday, July 16, and were blown away by "roller-coaster of a movie." RRR, a fictionalized story of the lives of two Telugu freedom warriors named Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, is directed by SS Rajamouli and starred Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, respectively. 

The Ram Charan-Jr. NTR starrer RRR has made history by being nominated for Best Picture at Hollywood Critics Association midseason awards.
