PM Modi Lays Foundation Stone For Cricket Stadium In Varanasi, Meets Tendulkar

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the new International Cricket Stadium in Varanasi on September 23rd (Saturday). The likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Ravi Shastri, Dilip Vengsarkar, and Sunil Gavaskar were also present for the ceremony. The Prime Minister also went on to present an Indian team jersey to Tendulkar. The state government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, spent ₹121 crore for land acquisition

Sachin Tendulkar Files Complaint With Mumbai Police

Sachin Tendulkar, the former Indian Cricket Team Captain lodged a police complaint at the Mumbai Crime Branch. The complaint was registered over his name, photo and voice being used in fake advertisements on the internet to dupe people. A case has been registered by the Mumbai Police Cyber Cell against unidentified people under sections 426, 465, and 500 of the IPC. An investigation into the matter is underway.

SCG Names Gate After Indian Cricketer Tendulkar

The Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) has unveiled a set of gates named after Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara, on the ocassion of Tendulkar's birthday.  The new addition is an honor given to the legendary players at the iconic SCG.  Expressing happiness about it, Sachin Tendulkar said, "The Sydney Cricket Ground has been my favourite ground away from India." Notably, on April 24, Sachin Tendulkar turned 50 year old.
