PV Sindhu Win Match Against American Iris Wang In Malaysia Open Badminton Tournament
Two champions of Indian Wonmen's Badminton, PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal participated in the Malaysia Open Super 750 tournament, on June 29. While Saina lost, Sindhu progressed to the second round with a fine performance, score at 21-13, 21-17. Whereas, Saina went down fighting against American Iris Wang, ranked 33rd in the world, 11-21, 17-21 in 37 minutes game. Now, Sindhu will face Phittayaporn Chaiwan, a 21-year-old from Thailand.

Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth will miss the Tokyo Olympics after they failed to qualify the Badminton World Federation rankings list. With the tournaments' official qualifying window closing on June 15, the BWF announced to hold no more matches. According to the rules only top 16 shuttlers as of June 15 will qualify for the games.
