Sri Lanka's Leader Of Opposition Sajith Premadasa Meets Chinese Ambassador, Seeks Intervention
Sri Lanka's leader of opposition Sajith Premadasa met Chinese ambassador Qi Zhenhong to discuss about the ongoing economic crisis, on May 11. He requested the Chinese government to intervene and assist with the crisis. He said that the island nation is seeking China's support to lift the country from its current predicament, and pave the way for recovery. Sri Lanka's food and fuel shortages, power cuts and protests are concerning.
