Volvo Announces To Go Fully Electrical From 2025
Car maker Volvo announced it to only sell electric vehicles, starting in 2025. Notably, the giant company announced that it would go electric globally, from 2023, whereas the sale of electric cars would begin in 2025. In electric vehicles, the company currently sells the Volvo CX40 Recharge in India and confirmed that the compact SUV will be joined by its coupe-sibling called the Volvo C40 Recharge soon.

Johnson & Johnson To Discontinue Global Sales Of Talc-Based Baby Powder From 2023
Johnson & Johnson on August 11 said it will terminate global sales of talc-based baby powder in 2023. J&J in 2020 discontinued selling its talc Baby Powder in US and Canada due to demand drop caused by the "misinformation" about the product's safety and a torrent of legal challenges. J&J is facing around 38,000 lawsuits from consumers and their survivors alleging that asbestos exposure in its talc products caused cancer.

Mahindra XUV700 Outsells Tata Harrier & Safari Combined
Mahindra sold 6,022 vehicles of XUV700 in the Indian auto market in June of this year. It is available in both 5- and 7-seat versions, enabling it to compete with both Tata Safari and Harrier. However, Mahindra's SUV has outsold the Safari and Harrier combined in terms of sales. Tata Motors only sold 3,015 Harrier and 1,86 Safari vehicles in June of this year, for a total of 4,884 vehicles.

Nothing Phone (1) Accessories Sale On Flipkart, Smartphone To Be On Sale From July 21
Nothing released its first smartphone, Nothing Phone (1), on July 12. Despite the fact that Phone (1) will be on sale from July 21, the Carl Pei-led tech startup is now selling the transparent cover, tempered glass screen, and 45W Nothing Power adaptor on Flipkart. Nothing Phone (1) supports up to 33W charging and does not come with an adapter. The adapter and case are both priced at Rs 1,499.

Automobile Industry Grows by 34% In July 2021 Than Last Year
The Automobile industry has seen positive growth of 34.2% in July 2021 than July 2020, according to the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA). Last year in July 2020, people purchased 11.6 lakh vehicles and now it has increased to 15.56 lakh vehicles. The commercial vehicles sales increased by 166%, followed by 83% in a three-wheeler, 63% in passenger vehicles, and 27% in a two-wheeler, and 6% in tractors.

Apple Sells 10-Crore Units Of iPhone 12 In Just 7 Months, Says Report
The iPhone 11 series sale may have been affected due to the pandemic but iPhone 12 has managed to attract more buyers. According to Counterpoint Research's report, as many as the 10-crore units have been sold until April this year.
