Blind Woman Sues Uber For $1.1 Mn For Discrimination, Denying Rides

A San Francisco-based woman named Lisa Irving has sued Uber for $1.1Mn for denying her ride and discriminating for her disability. Irving, a blind woman who uses guide dog, was denied ride by the drivers while commuting to work. Bullied and verbally abused, Irving’s ride was deliberately cancelled by two drivers. After receiving no response from the company, Irving sued Uber, accusing them of discriminating her on 14 occasions.

139-Yr-Old San Francisco Home Relocated to Another Address Using Dollies

In an out of the ordinary incident, a 139-year-old two-storey Victorian house in San Francisco was shifted to a new address by using rollers. Reportedly, the house was shifted to 635 Fulton Street from original 807 Franklin Street address.
