Canada Slaps Sanctions On Russian Central Bank Chief, Others
Canada has slapped sanctions on the Russian Central Bank Chief and thirteen other Russian figures who have close ties with the government. It also includes some Russian oligarchs and the daughters of President c. This comes as Russia continues to carry on its military operation in Ukraine. Earlier, Canada had announced personal sanctions against the Russian President and the members of the Russian parliament.

China Imposes Sanctions On 4 US Officials Over Xinjiang
In a tit-for-tat move, China imposed sanctions on four members of the US government's Commission on International Religious Freedom, on December 21. Arms Embargo Against Iran Comes To End Under Terms Of UNSC Resolution
Iran government on October 18 celebrated the termination of UN's arms embargo (arms ban) against the country imposed in 2007. The enduring ban on arms' purchase has come to an end under the terms of UNSC resolution, which was passed after the signing of 2015 Nuclear Deal. Iran's Foreign Ministry said that the country can now "procure any necessary arms and equipment" for its defence purposes.
