Punjab's Bhadalwad Village Sows 92% of Farms Avoiding Stubble Burning
Bhadalwad village in Punjab's Sangrur district has sown 92% of the farmland without burning stubble, creating a benchmark. A local farmer Harwinder Singh said, he has been farming this way since 2005 and has also been following per acre production for various crops. Winning awards for organic farming, Singh further stated that he hasn't burnt stubble since the last five years, and also claimed to have had an increase in the production.
