Tokyo Olympics: Sania, Ankita Loses Doubles Tennis 1st Round

Former India's No.1 Sania Mirza and debutant Ankita Raina lost the first round to Ukraine's twin sister pair Liudmyla Kichenok and Nadiia Kichenok (6-0, 6-7, 8-10). Bopanna, Sania Slam AITA After False Claim Of A Chance To Qualify

UAE Grants 'Dubai Golden Visa' To Tennis Star Sania Mirza

United Arab Emirates has granted the ''Dubai Golden Visa'' to Indian Tennis player Sania Mirza, allowing her and her husband Shoaib Malik to reside for 10 years in UAE. Notably, Sania is the third Indian personality to receive the visa, following Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt. Thanking PM Sheikh Mohammed Rashid, Sania said, ''This is my second home and we're looking forward to spending more time here".

Marking her return to WTA circuit after 12 months, Indian Tennis ace Sania Mirza registered her win at the Qatar Total open on March 1. Sania has now entered doubles quarterfinal with Slovenian partner Andreja Klepac, as they defeated Ukraine's Nadiia Kichenok and Lyudmyla Kichenok 6-4, 6-7(5), 10-5. Interestingly, Sania's previous return from her maternity leave was in January 2020 when she won the Hobart Open pairing with Nadiia.

Ankita Raina Becomes 3rd Indian Woman To Qualify For Grand Slam Main

Indian tennist Ankita Raina has become the third Indian woman to feature in the main draw of a Grand Slam. She paired up with Romania's Mihaela Buzarnecu and secured a direct entry for the women’s doubles at the Australian Open.
