Delhi Court Rejects Satyendra Jain Bail In Money Laundering Case

Satyendra Jain, a Delhi minister who was detained by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case, bail application was refused by a Delhi court on June 18. Special Judge Geetanjli Goel dismissed Jain's request for bail, stating that the stage was not appropriate for his release. He was arrested under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act's criminal provisions (PMLA).

Special CBI Court Reserves Bail Plea Judgement In Satyendra Jain Case

The Special CBI Court, which heard the bail plea petition of the Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain, reserved its order. On June 14, the court heard the matter and is likely to announce its judgement on June 18. Notably, Jain filed for bail petition after a Delhi court, extended his judicial custody with the ED for the next two weeks. The AAP leader was arrested in a money laundering case.

Delhi Reports 2 More Cases Of Omicron; Cases Rises To 10: COVID-19

Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain on December 16 said that two more cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 have been detected in Delhi. It raised the total tally to 10 in the national capital. The Minister added that out of these 10 patients, nine are admitted to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital and one has been discharged. All the patients are stable, reported ANI.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Announces To Reduce Cost Of RT-PCR Test

Amid the increasing COVID-19 cases, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on November 30 announced to reduce the cost of RT-PCR tests in the capital. He said, "Whereas tests are being conducted free of cost in government establishments, however, this will help those who get their tests done in private labs." Reportedly, orders regarding the decision will be issued soon. The RT-PCR tests at private labs in the city currently cost Rs 2,400.
