British Parliament honored BCCI President Sourav Ganguly as a former India captain on July 13. "They contacted me six months ago. They do this award every year and I got it," said Ganguly. The Indian cricket star was commemorated on the same date, July 13, in 2002, when he led India to a Natwest final victory, and precisely 20 years later, on the same day, in the same city, London. 

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has suffered a cardiac arrest and was admitted to the Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata on January 2. Dubbed as 'Dada' by his fans, the 48-year-old former cricketer would undergo an angioplasty by evening. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has denied speculations that England's tour to India will get shifted to the UAE. He announced that the board is "determined" to host the world champions and are examining ways to host them. Reportedly, three venues are in the list for conducting the test-matches and Ahmedabad is expected to conduct the day-night test. The tour will start from January for five tests and a limited-over series.
