40% of Amazon Rainforests May Turn into Grassland-Type Ecosystem: Study

In a recent study, Europe-based scientists have hinted that nearly 40% of Amazon rainforests could transform into Savanna-like grasslands. The study cited reduction in rainfall due to the greenhouse-gas emissions as the reason for this.
