In a shocking incident, a Jharkhand girl set herself on fire, after being forced to remove her clothes. On October 15, a class-IX student took the drastic step, after a female invigilator asked her to remove clothes, suspecting her of cheating and hiding chits in her uniform, for the exams. The police registered a case based on the victim's statement and launched an investigation. Meanwhile, the victim is undergoing treatment.

Firoz Khan, an assistant teacher at a government primary school in UP wins a national award for innovation in education using 'Information Communication Technology.' The 37-year-old teacher said, "there were just 150 students in 2007. In 13 years, the strength increased to 800. That’s because I started using technology in the classroom to make learning fun." However, Khan uses mobile phones and tablets to make learning fun.

A private school teacher in Delhi's Rohini, who served as a Taekwondo coach allegedly committed suicide over not being paid for two years. However, Johar in his suicide note had mentioned the former BJP MLA and his wife, who run the school. DCP Parvinder Singh said, "Johar was no longer working at the school and had filed a case one year ago, against the school. Investigation is underway, DCP added.

Government Railway Police constable, Rohit Kumar Yadav is on a mission to satisfy his father's dream of opening a free school named ‘Har Haath Mein Kalam', to educate under-privileged children in Unnao, UP.
