Dalit Man Beaten To Death For Stealing: Telangana
In a shocking incident, a Telangana Dalit man was beaten to death for stealing cable wires. At 1 am, on March 26, the villagers of Gummadidala, in Sangareddy district, beaten the man identified as M Mallesh, who died on March 27, 6 am. The police registered a case as per complaint of Mallesh's wife M Meena, who demanded arrested of those who killed her husband. An investigation is underway.… read-more

Life Imprisonment Awarded To Accused In Dalit Factory Worker Murder Case: UP
A special court in Muzaffarnagar trying the murder case of a Dalit worker, sentenced the accused to a lifetime of imprisonment, on April 15. The accused Popin Kumar, allegedly murdered his factory worker Sonu, for allegedly having an affair with his sister. Reportedly, Sonu's body was found in Ghasipura village. Furthermore, a fine of Rs 20,000 was also imposed on Kumar by Special Judge Jamshed Ali.
