NITI Aayog Ranks Chhattisgarh 1st In Child Sex Ratio, U'khand Last

The NITI Aayog's Sustainable Development Goals index has ranked Chhattisgarh first on the child sex ratio parameter. Chhattisgarh's sex ratio was 958, followed by Kerala which recorded birth of 957 females per 1000 males. On the other hand, Uttarakhand performed worst in this regard with a sex ratio of 840. Notably, the national sex-ratio average stood at 899 with a major improvement in Punjab (890) and Haryana (843) region.
