Raids Conducted Across 6 States To Crackdown PFI; 75 Taken Into Preventive Custody
Police along with investigating agencies conducted raids in another major crackdown against Popular Front of India (PFI) on September 27. Reportedly, the raids are being conducted in Assam, Karnataka, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. Over 75 PFI and SDPI workers have been taken into preventive custody. Furthermore, cases have been booked under Sections 108 and 151 of CrPC.

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan Condemns 2 Political Murders, Assures Strict Action
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has condemned the murder of two political leaders of the SDPI and BJP on December 19. He assured of strict action against the accused and said, "Such heinous and inhumane acts of violence are dangerous in states". After the murder of BJP's OBC Morcha secretary Ranjith Sreenivasan, and SDPI state secretary KS Shaan, section 144 was imposed in Alappuzha on December 19.

Section 144 Imposed In Kerala's Alappuzha After BJP Leader Dies
Following the brutal murder of BJP's OBC Morcha secretary Ranjith Sreenivasan, section 144 was imposed in Kerala's Alappuzha district on December 19. Reportedly, some miscreants hacked him to death at his home. The incident happened after the death of KS Shan, the state secretary of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) here. Shan had received serious injuries after a car rammed into his bike on December 18.

NIA Arrests Key Conspirator in Bangalore Riots Case
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), on September 24, arrested Sayyed Sadiq Ali (44), who is said to be a key conspirator in the Bangalore riots that took place on August 11. NIA conducted search operations in 30 places, around DJ Halli and KG halli where the riots took place. Reportedly, police have seized air guns, DVRs and documents against the Social Democratic Party of India and Popular Front of India.

Kerala: Police Arrest 3 BJP Activists in Salahuddin Murder Case
On September 9, Kannur police took three BJP activists under custody for alleged connection with SDPI activist Salahuddin's murder. The three were suspected to have received prior information about the murder. Reportedly, police are yet to confirm any direct involvement of the three in the murder. Salahuddin, an accused of ABVP activist's murder, was out on bail when he was killed on September 8.

CCB Conducts Searches at SDPI Offices in Connection to Bangalore Violence
The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bangalore Police department carried out search operations at three offices of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI). The offices located at DJ Halli, KG Halli, and Halsurgate were searched, owing to their connection with the violence that broke out on August 11. So far, at least 415 people have been arrested in relation to the case.
