In Uttarakhand’s Dehradun, the State Disaster Relief Force (SDRF) has rescued five persons who were stranded on an island in Sahaspur river. The rescue operation was initiated after SDRF received a call about the same. Reportedly, persons were stranded on the island after water levels of the river increased due to rainfall. The stranded persons were then brought back to shore using a raft.

Manipur Landslide: 4 More Bodies Recovered, Search For Missing Persons Underway
In Manipur, four more bodies were recovered after landslide stuck the Money district, said the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF). So far, 13 Territorial Army personnel and five civilians have been rescued, said the Indian Army. Meanwhile, mortal remains of nine Territorial Army personnel and one civilian have been recovered from the site. Reportedly, the search for the missing persons is underway. Body Of Engineer Discovered In Drain After 40 Hours In Bengaluru
Rescue personnel on June 19 retrieved the body of a 28-year-old civil engineer who was washed away after falling into an open stormwater drain in Bengaluru. Mithun Kumar's body was discovered stuck in an underbridge where he was attempting to stop his two-wheeler from being dragged into the lake. The rescue team included 59 officers of state disaster response force, 24 members of national disaster response force, and 20 firefighters.

SDRF Rescues 60 & Found 5 Bodies In Uttarakhand's Bageshwar
During the search and rescue operations, Uttarakhand's State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has rescued a total of 60 people in the Bageshwar district. Besides, five bodies were also recovered from the Sunderdhunga Glacier region in the district. Search and rescue operations by the SDRF is still ongoing in the rain-affected areas since October 17. Reportedly, 64 people have been found dead so far and 11 are still missing.

Uttarakhand: SDRF Installs New Tech To Reach Remote Areas During Emergency

Odisha Floods: State takes "Expeditious Steps", Announces Relief Package
Chief Minister of Odisha on August 31 announced that flood victims in the state will get 50 kg of rice and Rs 500 as a relief measure. Besides, those who have been living in shelters will be provided cooked/dry foods under immediate assistance. The CM also announced that house damage assistance, as per the SDRF rules, will also be given to the victims.
