Section 144 Of CrPC Imposed In Jamshedpur

Clashes erupted in Jharkhand's Jamshedpur after 'desecration' of a religious flag led to brick batting and arson between two groups, confirmed local sources. To control the situation, a prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC are in force at Shastrinagar in Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur after shops and vehicles were set on fire during the clashes. Internet services have also been suspended, confirmed ANI sources.

Jamia Millia University Imposes Section 144 CrPC, Issues Notice

Jamia Millia Islamia has asked its students and teachers not to assemble in and around the campus as police have imposed restrictions under section 144 of the CrPC in the entire Okhla area. The notice was issued on September 26, after SHO of the Jamia Nagar police station informed about the restrictions amid information, that some people or groups may indulge in activities prejudicial to the maintenance of peace.

Internet Suspended, Section 144 Imposed In Manipur Over Security Concerns

Internet has been suspended for five days, and section 144 of CrPC has been imposed in Manipur over law and order concerns. The move has come after an incident in Bishnupur district, where an eco van was set ablaze in the Phougakchao lkhang area by three-four youths. The internet has been suspended to counter "rumor-mongers", and stop the spread of hatred and photos through social media.

DM North Goa Enforces Section 144 From July 11 Until End Of Assembly Session

District Magistrate (DM) of North Goa on July 8 enforced Section 144 near Porvorim Assembly Complex and Panaji Police Station in Goa. DM further said foregoing prohibition does not apply to public officials on duty, and any other special events for which previous written authorization has been acquired. The order will take effect at 10 a.m. on July 11 and stay in effect till the end of Goa Assembly Session.

Section 144 Imposed For Sixth Consecutive Day In Bhaderwah Town: J&K

In the violence hit Bhaderwah town of J&K Doda district, curfew under section 144 I'd CrPC is imposed for the sixth consecutive day to maintain peace and order, on June 15. Internet services remain suspended and security forces are still deployed in the area. Restrictions imposed in Ramban and Kishtwar regions are being raised, however in a phase wise manner.

Man Shot 6 Times During Protests In Ranchi, 2 Bullets Remain Stuck In His Body

Absar, a citizen who was shot during the riots in Ranchi, said he was hit six times and that doctors had extracted four bullets but two remained stuck in his body. He told he was coming from the market and did not engage in protests when he noticed a group of people pelting stones and the police responding by gunfire. Ranchi City was subjected to Section 144 following the incident.

Imran Khan Assasination Rumours, Islamabad Police On High Alert

The Islamabad Police is on high alert, after the rumors of the assassination of the former Pakistan PM Imran Khan. Notably, on June 5, Khan is scheduled to visit Gani Bala in Islamabad, following which section 144, restricting gatherings has been imposed. Furthermore, the Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leaders said, If Imran Khan is attacked it will be an attack on Pakistan, amid his refusal to sell the country, said Faisal Vawda.
