Every Police Station To Have 1 Women SHO: Yogi Adityanath
In a significant move and a boost to the message of women's reservation in policing, Yogi Adityanath, the CM of Uttar Pradesh said women police officers should be appointed to head at least one police station in every district apart from the existing woman police station. The move came as an initiative towards women empowerment and security of women in Uttar Pradesh.

Indian Air Force Took Delivery Of First C-295 Aircrafts From Spain
The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Wednesday took the delivery of its first C-295 transport aircraft from Airbus Defence and Space, with Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari attending the handing over ceremony at Seville in Spain, officials aware of the matter said. The 16 aircraft is the first of the 56 such planes ordered by the IAF under a ₹21,935-crore project to modernise its transport fleet.

Defence Ministry Approves 26 Rafale Jets From France
The defence ministry approved the proposed procurement of 26 Naval variant of Rafale jets from France, people familiar with the development said. The project was cleared by the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) headed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The DAC, which is the defence ministry's highest decision making body on procurement, also cleared a proposal for construction of three more Scorpene submarines in India.

Accused In Horrendous 16 Year Old Girl Murder Arrested In UP
The Delhi Police nabbed 20-year-old Sahil from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh on Monday afternoon. The accused, who has been identified as an AC mechanic in Shahbad Dairy area, was taken to Delhi by cops for the brutal murder of Sakshi, his 16-year-old girl friend. The Delhi Police has registered a case under section 307 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code, and launched an investigation.

Afghanistan Explosion Near Mosque Leaves 3 Injured
In an explosion in Afghanistan, at least three people were injured, confirmed sources. The explosion occurred near the Imam Abu Hanifa mosque in Afghanistan’s Faryab province on February 8.
