In Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, four terrorists were killed in an encounter, on July 18. An encounter broke out after a joint operation launched by police force, security officials, special army force and Rashtriya rifles, in Poonch. Soon open firing started, resulting in the death of four foreign terrorists, whose identities are yet to be known. The first firing and drone attack took place on July 17, 11:30 pm.

In Jammu & Kashmir's Kulgam region, an encounter broke out between the security forces and militants, on April 11. Based on the intelligence input of terrorists presence in the area, the officials cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, following which the militants opened fire. The officials further said the encounter is still underway in the region and more details are awaited.
