Encounter Breaks Out In J&K's Baramulla Region, Details Awaits

In Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla region, an encounter broke out between militants and security forces. The encounter which occurred in the wee hours of September 30, was in view of intelligence inputs of terrorist hiding in villages of Baramulla district. Furthermore, the encounter and joint operation is underway, said Jammu and Kashmir Police. In addition, more details in this regard is awaited.

Drone Suspected In J&K Samba Region, Official Launches Search Operation

In Jammu and Kashmir's Samba region, along the International Border, the security forces spotted a drone.  Soon the security forces launched a massive cordon and search operation, on July 4. "We got information that there was some flying object hovering over the border hamlet Chilliyari in Samba last night.  It may have been a drone from across," said a police officer. Although BSF denied such claims.

SC Suspends Enforcement Of Tripura High Court Decision To Provide Protection To Ambanis

In a PIL contesting the provision of security coverage to tycoon Mukesh Ambani and his family in Mumbai, the Supreme Court on June 29 suspended the Tripura High Court's rulings. A vacation bench gave notice in response to the Centre's argument challenging the two high court decisions from May 31 and June 21. Further high court proceedings on the PIL would also be halted, according to Solicitor General Tushar Mehta.

RBI Announces Tokenization Of Credit,Debit Cards, Implemented From July 1

Terrorists Gun Down Kashmiri Pandit Teacher In Jammu & Kashmir's Kulgam

In Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, terrorists shot dead a Kashmiri Pandit teacher, confirmed police on May 31. The deceased teacher was identified as Rajni Bala (36) sustained injuries and was brought dead by the doctors at a nearby hospital. Furthermore, the police cordoned off the area and launched a manhunt to track down the assailants. Furthermore, this is the seventh such targeted killing in Jammu and Kashmir.

Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moose Wala Shot Dead

Sidhu Moose Wala, a Punjabi musician and Congress leader, was shot and killed on May 29 in Punjab's Mansa. Unknown assailants opened fire on the Congressman.
