PM Narendra Modi launched Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0 and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0 on October 1 at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre. However, he stated in his speech that SBM-U 2.0 will ensure clean and garbage-free cities and Mission AMRUT will work on increasing sewage and septic management. After drinking sewage water, one reported dead leaving 10 others sick in Kolkata’s Bhowanipore area.
