Karnataka police have arrested a model from Mumbai in connection with a honey trapping case. The police on August 17, said the gang led by the woman extorted huge money by threatening the victims to convert to Islam and get circumcised. The incident took place in the limits of Puttenahalli police station in Bengaluru. The accused identified as Neha aka Meher invite people for sex and blackmail them with videos.

In Maharashtra's Thane region, a 24-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly running a sex racket. The police booked the woman, a resident of Andheri, Mumbai under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, and confirmed the arrest on February 11. The police further said, they arrested the woman after a tip off about the flesh trade, from Kalwa Naka. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.

Delhi police busted a high-level prostituition racket, arresting the accused broker and few others. After receiving Intel from a secret informant, Delhi police used a decoy to arrest the accused red-handed. Naveen, main accused in the case, was caught while he dropped the girl at Hotel Holiday Inn. The girl was apprehended inside the hotel and the Naveen was apprehended outside. Further details on the matter is awaited.

A sex racket operating out of Pune's Kanak Spa, located near Baner area was busted on September 8. Reportedly, around eight women, lured into sex trafficking were rescued who belong to different parts of the country. However, the racket was only confirmed after a decoy customer who was sent by the police, confirmed it, leading to arrests. Besides, an FIR has been lodged at Chaturshringi police station, and the accused have been arrested.

A Kashmiri man has been arrested by the CBI for operating a child sex racket with his US-based wife. The couple - Niyaz Ahmed Mir and Tamara Stanley - has been charged by the CBI for targeting minors in the US and uploading their pornographic videos for monetary gains. Raiding Mir’s house, the CBI has seized laptops, mobiles, and hand-scribbled notes. Earlier in June, Tamara was arrested by US authorities.
