Karnataka’s former state minister and senior BJP leader, Ramesh Jarkiholi has tested positive for COVID-19 on April 5. Reportedly, he has quarantined himself in Bengaluru after receiving his test report as positive. However, Jarkiholi is also facing sexual charges against him and failed to appear before the SIT for inquiry scheduled on April 2. Moreover, he stepped out of an election campaign citing health issues.

Due to lack of evidence of any conspiracy to frame former CJI Ranjan Gogoi for sexual assault, the Supreme Court closed its suo motu investigation over the matter. However, Justice AK Patanaik's committee said the theory of conspiracy could not be ruled out. Reportedly, Gogoi was accused of sexually harassing former women employee. However, the SC's in-house enquiry had given him a clean chit in May 2019, citing zero case-substance.

For sexually harassing a woman, 28-year-old MGNRGEA project supervisor Rakesh Rathore was paraded naked on the streets of Rajasthan's Jhalawar district. A 15-year-old girl was found unconscious in the fields in Rajasthan's Barmer district after allegedly getting kidnapped and gang-raped. The police informed the crime happened on October 6. Reportedly, the girl's family had gone to cast votes in the panchayat election at the time of incident. Bharatiya Janata Party leader Uma Bharti, through Twitter, requested Uttar Pardesh CM Yogi Adityanath to allow politicians and media persons to meet the Hathras victim's family. In her nine-thread tweet, she mentioned that the police cremated the victim in a hurry. She added that she was not aware of any rule "under which a family can't meet anybody because of a Special Investigation Team probe."
