Power Crisis In Pakistan: Red Zones Affected

The power load shedding in several areas in Pakistan amid the rising heat is adding to the misery of the people. The power supply in Pakistan has been disrupted due to a shortage of around 300 megawatts from the national power grid. The demand for electricity has climbed up to 21,000 megawatts. The shutdown of several major power plants in Pakistan, is a key factor in the power crisis.

Pak President Administers Oath To 3 Federal Members & 1 Minister Of State

Three new federal members and one minister of State for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, took oath, on April 22. The oath ceremony was administered by President Arif Alvi, and took place at the Aiwan-i-Sadr in Islamabad. Reportedly, PM Sharif was seated next to the president, in the ceremony. Chaudhary Salik Hussain, Agha Hassan Baloch, Javed Latif and Hashim Notezai were the new inductees.

Imran Khan Sold Gifts Worth Millions In Dubai, Says PM Shehbaz Sharif: Pakistan

The newly elected Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has accused his predecessor Imran Khan of accepting gifts worth PKR 140 million from the Toshakhana, and then selling them off in Dubai. Sharif said that the voice of 200 million Pakistanis is to take the Pakistan-China relationship to a "higher level". Shehbaz Sharif Is New Pakistan PM With Majority 174 Votes

In Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif has been elected as the new Pakistan PM. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president was elected unopposed by Parliament on April 11. As per PTI, Shehbaz (70) will be the 23rd PM of Pakistan, with a majority vote of 174 MLAs in the parliament. Notably, on Sunday after the no-trust-vote, Imran Khan was ousted out as the PM of Pakistan, following which Shehbaz has been elected.
