Nepal PM Begins 3-Day Tour Of India, Likely To Meet Union Minister

Nepal PM Sher Bahadur Deuda is set to begin his three-day tour of India, from April 1. Nepal PM will be accompanied by high-level officials and his spouse Arzu Deuba. On April 1, Deuba is scheduled to meet Union External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. On the second day, April 2, Bahadur Deuba will meet PM Narendra Modi, and other union ministers. After assuming office, this is Deuba's first abroad visit.

Nepal PM Warns Citizens Against Third Wave Of Covid-19

Owing to the menace of the surge in the Covid-19 pandemic in Nepal, PM Sher Bahadur warned people ''not to go out unnecessarily'' and follow the safety protocols on August 7. The PM further said in a video, ''There seem to be signs that we're now on the verge of being hit by the third wave of the pandemic.'' Nepal also extended the lockdown till August 11 in Kathmandu Valley.

Nepal: Sher Bahadur Deuba To Be Prime Minister For The Fifth Time In 25 Yrs

As per reports, Nepali Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba has become Nepal's Prime Minister for the fifth time on July 13. President Bidya Devi appointed him under Article 76(5) of the Constitution. Deuba needs to obtain a majority in the vote of confidence from the house, within 30 days. The 74-year-old politician had previously been the PM in intervals during 1995 to 2018.
