Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan on October 5, granted divorce by a local court in Delhi from estranged wife Aesha Mukherji on account of his being subjected to mental cruelty. The judge accepted all the allegations made by Dhawan in the divorce petition against his wife. Mukerji subjected Dhawan to mental affliction by forcing him to live separately from their son for years. However, the permanent custody of son is with Aesha.

India defeated Sri Lanka in the opening ODI at R Premadasa Stadium by 7 wickets. Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Sri Lanka scored 262/9 in the 50 overs. BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed that the former India team captain Rahul Dravid will be the head coach of Indian cricket team on tour of Sri Lanka. However, Shikhar Dhawan-led team India will play three ODI’s followed by as many T20I’s at R Premadasa Cricket Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The team will undergo 3 day soft quarantine and will leave for Colombo on June 28.
