India has definitely secured a sliver medal at the Asian Boxing Championship as boxer Amit Panghal (52kg) stormed into the final after defeating Kazakhstan's Saken Bibossinov on May 28. Shiva Thapa Enters Semis Of Asian Boxing C'ship For 5th Time In Row
Indian boxer Shiva Thapa (64kg) on May 25 defeated Kuwait's Nader Odah in the quarter-finals of the Asian Boxing Championship in Dubai. Winning the one-sided bout with 5-0, Thapa has entered the semi-finals, securing his fifth consecutive medal in the championship. Earlier, the boxer had bagged gold in 2013, silver in 2017 and bronze in 2015 and 2019 editions of the tournament.
