Investigation Launched In Killing Of Indian Origin Jaahnavi Kandula
An investigation has been launched against Seattle police union leaders after an officer was recorded on his body camera laughing and joking about an Indian-origin woman who was killed by a police patrol vehicle in January this year, the New York reported. Officer Daniel Auderer can be heard discussing the investigation into the accident involving graduate student Jaahnavi Kandula, killed by Police Officer Kevin Dave.

Mumbai Court Extends Police Remand Of RPF In Shooting Incident
Mumbai Court on August 11, extended the police remand of Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable Chetan Singh till August 7 for allegedly shooting dead his colleague and three other passengers in train on July 31. The Government Railway Police (GRP) added Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 153-A, for promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion in the case against the accused. The hearing is on August 11.

Brother Tries To Kill Sister's Husband For Eloping 7 Years Ago
Sachin Kumar with his two associates attempted to shoot his sister's husband Rajesh Saini in Haryana on August 21 for eloping with his sister to get married seven years ago. Saini currently at a hospital said Kumar reached my house and "shot at me on my right shoulder and I lost my balance.'' After registering the FIR, the police are trying to nab the accused.

5 Held In Connection With Murder Of TMC Youth Leader: Bengal
West Bengal police have arrested five people in connection with the murder of a 33-year-old TMC youth leader, Ranajoy Kumar Shrivastava on August 14 from the North 24 Parganas district. TMC blamed the BJP for the crime as Shrivastava had joined TMC, while BJP said it is a result of TMC leaders infighting. However, the police also said the attackers belong to ''the Hindi cell of TMC's youth wing''.

Chicago-based Rapper King Von Dies In Shooting At Atlanta
Chicago-based 26-year-old rapper King Von was shot dead on November 6 outside a nightclub in Atlanta. Investigators said that three other people were also injured in the incident.
