Shot Dead

In a shocking incident, a police constable was shot dead by bike-borne assailants in Bihar's Vaishali district. According to an eyewitness, the incident took place when Amitabh Kumar, posted at Sarai police station, was checking vehicles near UCO bank at Sarai Bazar Chowk on October 16. As per an eyewitness, "one of the miscreants opened fire on the police team." This is second incident of police being target.

Three tribals belonging to the Kuki-Zo community were shot dead on September 12 morning allegedly by militants of banned terror groups in Kangpopki district in Manipur, officials said here. They said the assailants came in a vehicle and attacked the villagers between the Ireng and Karam areas located in the bordering areas of Imphal West and Kangpopki districtsThis village is located in the hills, dominated by the tribal people.

Canada-based Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar, was shot dead outside a gurdwara in the north American country on June 19. Notably, Nijjar is one of the most-wanted terrorists in India who carried a cash reward of Rs. 10 lakh on his head, confirmed official. A  native of Punjab, Nijjar was found dead inside a car with bullet wounds in the parking-lot of Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Sahib.

A 21-year-old Indian-origin student was shot dead in Philadelphia, confirmed a local source. The deceased student was identified as Jude Chacko, and was shot by unidentified assailants while he was returning from work and was attacked with a robbery attempt. In a tragic incident, Prominent Orthopaedic doctor Mazheruddin Ali Khan, a relative of the AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, shot himself dead in Hyderabad.  According to sources, Ali Khan killed himself due to an alleged family dispute. He was 60 year old. Khan had a gunshot wound on the right side of his head and police have launched an investigation in the matter.
