Tollywood actor Siddharth has been booked under section 506 of the IPC and section 67 of the IT Act, over his recent sexist Twitter remark, against Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal. On January 12, a Hyderabad woman filed a complaint with the Cybercrime Wing of Hyderabad. Although Siddharth apologized for the joke after backlash from netizens and political leaders, a case has been registered.

Actor Siddharth Claims Of Getting Threat Calls, Names BJP Behind This
Bollywood actor Siddharth has claimed of receiving threat calls after the BJP's Tamil Nadu unit allegedly leaked his personal phone number. Taking to Twitter, the actor wrote, "Over 500 calls of abuse, rape and death threats to me & family for over 24 hrs."
