Don't Fly On Air India On Nov 19, Warning Of Khalistani Leader To Sikhs

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a leader of the Khalistan movement and the head of the banned organisation Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), has released a video once again, in which he issued a threat to disrupt Air India flights on November 19. In a video bearing the Sikhs For Justice watermark, Pannun can be heard saying, "We urge the Sikh community to refrain from traveling on Air India.

44 Afghan Sikhs Sought Refuge At Gurudwara In West Delhi

As many as 78 individuals were evacuated from Afghanistan, out of which 44 Afghan Sikhs sought refuge at New Mahavir Nagar gurudwara, West Delhi on September 7. New York-based Sobti Foundation's Mandeep Singh Sobti will adopt 32 of 44 people rescued, said Kanv Bhalla, an entrepreneur in charge of rehabilitation operations. According to Bhalla, a small number of people who had family in Punjab have returned to their homes.

Amazon Served With Legal Notice For Selling Holy Sikh Books Online

E-commerce giant Amazon has been served with a legal notice for selling copies of the holy Sikh books, Guru Granth Sahib and Gutka Sahib, online. Served by the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, the notice states that the sales of copies are against the principles of the Sikh religion. The committee has asked for an immediate removal of the books from the website as it has created an huge outrage.

COVID-19 Blues: MHA Rejects Sikh Group's Pak Visit For Pilgrimage

A group of 600 Sikh pilgrims, who were planning to visit Pakistan from February 18-25, has been denied permission by the Home Ministry. IRCTC Sends PDF Attached E-Mails Stating PM Modi's Vision To Sikhs

The central government is reaching out to the Sikhs by sending 47-page pdf-attached emails through IRCTC. The PDF in Hindi, Punjabi, and English starts with Qaumi Seva Award offered to PM Modi and illustrates the steps taken by his government towards Sikh society. While the Railway official called it a part of the government’s outreach program to Sikhs of Punjab, a few condemned the act and termed it "party campaign'.
