2014 Bijnor Blast Case: NIA Court Sentences 5 Members Of SIMI Organization To Rigorous Imprisonment
Five members of the banned SIMI organisation have been convicted by a special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court, on July 1. The accused were sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for their involvement in the 2014 Bijnor blast case. Surat Court Acquits 122 People Accused As Terror Outfit SIMI Members
Around 122 people, who were accused of being members of the banned outfit 'Student's Islamic Movement of India' (SIMI), were acquitted by a Surat court on March 6. Charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the Magistrate acquitted them giving the accused a benefit of the doubt.
