Israel's Tel Aviv Becomes World's Most Expensive City: EIU Report
The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) released the Worldwide Cost of Living Index, listing the world's most expensive cities to live in 2021. The ranking covered 173 cities in the world, adding 40 more countries compared to last year. Israel's Tel Aviv was ranked at number one, surpassing France's Paris and Singapore for the second spot. Zurich and Hong Kong secured third and fourth spot, respectively.

Singapore, India To Resume Daily Flights Under Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL)
Singapore's government said that it has made an agreement with India to resume commercial flights under the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) program, beginning from November 29. Commercial flights have resumed, according to Singapore's high commissioner Simon Wong. "Joint efforts by both agencies have resulted in the resumption of commercial flights. From November 22, Indian travelers can apply for a Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP)", he added.

Foreign Minister Jaishankar Meets Singapore's Finance & Health Minister
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on November 19 met with the Singapore Finance Minister and Health Ministers of the city-state in the country. At the meeting, Jainshankar exchanged views on the growth prospects of bilateral ties with Finance Minister Laurence Wong. Shipowners Alleges Indonesian Navy Asks Money To Release Ships
Over a dozen shipowners paid about $300,000 apiece to the Indonesian navy to get their ships released. Reportedly, the ships were illegally anchored near Singapore in Indonesian waters. Singapore Extends COVID-19 Curbs To Ease Pressure On Hospital Staff
Singapore is planning to extend its social curbs in order to contain the spread of COVID-19 for a month. Reportedly, the move is to ease the pressure on the healthcare system. While Singapore has vaccinated more than 80% of its 5.45 million population, asymptomatic or mild cases have been rising steadily, spreading the virus and mounting pressure on the hospitals and medical staff.

Will India Join Australia In Providing Solar Electricity To Singapore?
Sun Cable, an Australian company is in midst of constructing a 4,200-kilometer power link between Singapore and the Northern Territory. The project comes into existence after Singapore has set an ambitious goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 36% by 2030. Singapore Starts Trails Of Robots To Induct As Public Officer
To detect bad behaviour of people, Singapore has started a three-week trial of two robots, named Xavier, said the Country's Home Team Science and Technology Agency on September 5. Reportedly, Xavier will detect the behaviours such as breaking COVID-19 protocols, smoking in prohibited areas, improper parking of bicycles.
