Internet sensation Bhuban Badyakar performed his trending song Kacha Badam, at a 5-star hotel in Kolkata. The West Bengal singer graced and performed live for the audience at Someplace Else Pub in Park Street. The singer ditched his dhoti-kurta attire and wore blingy jacket, t-shirt for the event. Notably, Bhuban has received Rs 3 lakh from Godhulibela Music, the label that first remixed his original song and an award. 

Legend singer Lata Mangeshkar's health is improving, updated Dr. Pratit Samdani on January 23. The Breach Candy Hospital Dr. said, "Lata Ji is still in the ICU but her health condition is improving". Notably, Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to the Mumbai hospital on January 10, after being diagnosed with COVID-19. Later, the 92-year-old singer was also diagnosed with pneumonia and is currently being treated in the ICU. 

President Ram Nath Kovind conferred the Padma Shri award to Assamese singer Dulal Manki on November 9 at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. Reportedly, a total of 10 Padama Bhushan and 102 Padma Shri Awards were planned for this year. The 102 awardees include 29 women, 16 posthumous awardees, and one transgender. The Padma Awards are announced every year on January 24, a day before Republic Day.  

Gammy winner Marilla Mendonca passed away in a plane crash in Minas Gerais. Furthermore, four others also died in the incident. As per sources, Marilla was travelling for a concert, and she had also posted a video on Instagram of her walking towards the plane. Singer and ‘Bigg Boss’ season 14 contestant Rahul Vaidya has been receiving threat calls and messages from devotees for mentioning the name of 'Shri Mogal Maa' in a song. Rahul had recently released a song ‘Garbe ki Raat’, in which he mentioned the goddess’s name. Shri Mogal Maa is a respected goddess, especially in Gujarat, and her mention in the song has not gone down well with a few devotees.
