Kerala Police To Form SIT For Kerala Train Fire Incident Probe
In the shocking Kerala train fire incident, the Kerala police formed a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the matter. Notably, on late night of April 2, an unidentified man in his mid-30s allegedly poured petrol and set his co-passengers on fire, resulting in the death of three people, including one child, and leaving eight with 50% burn injuries. Meanwhile, Kerala CM P. Vijayan directed the police to investigate.

Hyderabad Police Transfers TSPSC Paper Leak Case To SIT
The Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand, transferred the controversial Telangana State Public Service Commission Examination (TSPSC) paper leak case, to the Special Investigation Team (SIT.) On March 14, CP Anand issued a notice, confirming that the SIT will take over from Begum Bazar Police and start a fresh investigation. Meanwhile, the Begum Bazar police arrested nine people in the matter, who was remanded by a Nampally Court.

Kerala Police Orders SIT Formation To Investigate 'Kerala Human Sacrifice' Case
The Kerala Police ordered the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the Kerala Human Sacrifice case, which killed two women brutally. On October 13, Kerala Police Chief Anil Kant said, Kochi Deputy Commissioner of Police S Sasidharan will lead the SIT and investigate the matter, which involves the prime accused, a shafi and a couple, who performed the brutal murder under 'black magic'.

Kanpur Violence: SIT Reaches Crime Scene To Collect Evidence
Investigating the clash that broke out in Kanpur on June 3, a Special Investigation Team reached the spot to collect evidence. In Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur, a violent clash broke out between two different groups over alleged market shutting. Over 36 persons have been arrested and around three FIRs have been registered in the matter. key conspirator Hayat Zafar Hashmi was arrested and sent to 14-day judicial custody, on June 5.

Aryan Khan Gets Clean Chit In Mumbai Cruise Drug Case, Reveals NCB
Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan got clean-chit in the Mumbai Cruise-Drug-Case. On May 27, the Narcotics Control Bureau submitted a charge-sheet before the special NDPS court claiming, that all the accused except Aryan Khan and Mohak were under drug possession. Notably in October 2021, the NCB arrested Khan and others from a cruise after a raid and found drugs. The case was investigated by NCB SIT of Delhi-headquarters.

Calcutta HC Orders CBI Probe In Birbhum Violence Incident
Calcutta HC ordered a CBI probe in the Birbhum Violence case, which killed eight people in West Bengal. On March 25, the HC bench, comprising Chief Justice Prakash Shrivastava and Justice R Bharadwaj asked the state government formed SIT to hand over the case to the central agency. Notably, the HC took the decision in interest of justice, after taking suo-moto case and reviewing petitions seeking CBI investigation.

NCB Comments Over 'No Evidence Against Aryan Khan' Media Claims
Sanjay Singh, the Deputy Director General of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) dismissed media reports claiming that the NCB and SIT have no evidence against Aryan Khan in "cruise drug case" of October 3. Singh said, "Nothing can be said at this stage. Premature to say anything at this stage". Notably, a media report claimed, NCB has no evidence against Khan and reported irregularities in investigation.

Student Leader Anish Khan's Death To Be Probed By SIT: Mamata Banerjee
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee stated that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) will be formed to investigate the death of student leader Anish Khan. The move has come after widespread protests by opposition parties. She further stated that the SIT will submit a report within the next 15 days. According to Banerjee, strict action will be taken against those involved. "We had good relations with Anish,' she said.

Another Name Added In SIT's Chargesheet: Lakhimpur Kheri Violence Case
The Special Investigation Team filed a chargesheet in the Lakhimpur violence case, on December 3. The chargeesheet included another name in the case taking the tally of the arrested accused to 14. Ashish Mishra, the son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra, has also been included. On October 3, eight people died after being crushed by an SUV allegedly belonging to Ashish Mishra.

SIT Probes LaKhimpur Incident, Demands Attempt To Murder Charges Against Accused
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) completed the probe of the Lakhimpur Violent Case and demanded "attempt to murder" charges for the accused. "The incident was a deliberate act and not of negligence and callousness," said SIT and moved the Court asking to add severa charges. BJP leader Ajay Mishra's son Ashish and 12 others have been accused of running over an SUV over eight people including four farmers in Lakhimpur.
