Indian Govt Mandates Six Airbags In Cars, In Effect From Oct 1, 2023

Concerned about safety, the Indian government has made six airbags in passenger cars mandatory. The new implementation of six airbags will be in effect from October 1, 2023. So far only high-end cars come with six airbags, while 90% of vehicles on Indian roads do not have that feature, leaving the possibility of mishaps like road accidents. Union Road, Transport and Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari announced same through Twitter.
