Delhi Court Shelves 2-year Jail Term Of AAP's Somnath Bharti In AIIMS Case
A Delhi court on January 28 provided some respite to AAP MLA Somnath Bharti after suspending his two-year jail term in a 2016 case where he had allegedly assaulted staff and damaged properties of AIIMS-Delhi. UP Police Arrests AAP MLA Somnath Bharti Over Foul Remarks On UP CM
Booking under criminal intimidation charges, Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi Police on January 11 arrested AAP MLA Somnath Bharti in Rae Bareli for making objectionable remarks on CM Yogi Adityanath. Moreover, the police have charged him of promoting differences in society. The arrest is based on a complaint filed by BJP activist Somnath Sahu. Earlier, the police ordered probe for the ink hurled at Bharti by a youngster.
