Sonali Phogat Death Case: CBI Team Reaches Goa Office To Initiate Probe
After the death case of BJP leader and actor Sonali Phogat was transferred to the CBI, a team of CBI officials arrived at Goa office to initiate the probe. The matter was transferred to CBI for probe on September 15. This came after Goa CM Pramod Sawant succumbed to the pressure laid down by Phogat’s family and Haryana CM, asking for the case to be transferred to CBI.

Sonali Phogat Death Case: Goa CM Pramod Sawant Transfers Case To CBI
Amid the ongoing investigation in the death case of BJP leader and actor Sonali Phogat, succumbing to the growing demands, Goa CM Pramod Sawant has announced to transfer the case to CBI. This has come after constant pressure from Phogat’s family and the Haryana government. CM Sawant further stated that he will be writing to HM Amit Shah about the same.

Goa Police Is Ready To File Charge Sheet Of Sonali Phogat Death Case
The Goa Police is finally ready to file a charge sheet in the BJP MLA Sonali Phogat Death Case. On September 9, Superintendent of Police (North) Shobit Saxena said, the police team is in good place in investigation and is set to file a charge sheet. "Three Investigating officers are analysing the investigation of this case. It is being reviewed at senior level," said Saxena.

Curlies Ordered To Be Destroyed Over Green Violations, Police Deployed Outside: Goa
After Curlies restaurant was ordered to be destroyed over Green violations in Goa, police personnel have been deployed outside, on September 9. Notably, Curlies is the same restaurant where actor and BJP leader Sonali Phogat was allegedly drugged and killed. The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on September 8, upheld Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority’s previous order to demolish Curlies. Further details are awaited.

Sonali Phogat Death Case: Police Recovers 3 Diaries From Haryana Residence
Police visited late BJPe leader and actor Sonali Phogat’s residence in Sant Nagar, which is situated in Haryana’s Hisar, for the third time in a row. The police recovered three diaries as part of the investigation, and seized a locker that belonged to her. Sonali Phogat was declared dead in a hospital in Goa on August 23. The investigation is going on.

Sonali Phogat Case: ‘All Drug Peddlers Involved Are From Goa’, Says Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand
In the ongoing investigation of BJP leader and actor Sonali Phogat’s death case, Hyderabad police informed that all the drug peddlers involved were from Goa, although the main accused has not been arrested yet. Hyderabad Commissioner of Police CV Anand stated that of the two drug peddlers that were suspects to the case, one was arrested. He further stated that the Goa police did not cooperate with them.

The investigation in the Sonali Phogat Death case is intensifying with the involvement of the Goa Police. Furthermore, the Haryana Police has also arrested five people, including an owner of Goa restaurant, who allegedly drugged the BJP MLA (42) in Goa. Reacting to the investigation, the Union Minister for State Krishan Pal Gurjar assured fair probe and said, "But the guilty will not be spared. Everything will come out"

Sonali Phogat Death Case: Daughter Demands CBI Probe, Says ‘Not Satisfied With Current Probe’
BJP leader and actor Sonali Phogat’s daughter Yashodhara Phogat has demanded for a CBI investigation into the alleged murder case of her mother. She further stated that she and her family are not satisfied with the current probe conducted by the Goan police. She then stated that Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar had assured a CBI investigation into the matter. However, Yashodhara said that “no action has been taken yet”.

Bail Plea Of Restaurant Owner Edwin Rejected By Goa Court: Sonali Phogat Death Case
A Goa court rejected the bail plea of restaurant owner Edwin Nunes, accused arrested in BJP leader Sonali Phogat's death case. On August 28, the Goa court dismissed the petition and remanded Nunes and two others, drug peddlers Rama Mandrekar and Dattaprasad Gaonkar in five-day judicial custody. Furthermore, the Goa Government also said, they would approve a CBI investigation if needed. Notably, Sonali Phogat died in Goa on August 23.
