Tamil Film 'Soorarai Pottru' Becomes Only Indian Movie In Oscar Race
Becoming a matter of pride for the Indian Cinema, Tamil film 'Soorarai Pottru' is in the race of 93rd Oscars out of 366 eligible films in the 'Best Picture' category. While the film is the only Indian movie to get shortlisted this year, the voting is due to take during March 5-10, followed by an official announcement on March 15. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film is loosely based on Air Deccan's founder GR Gopinath.

Amazon Prime Video Releases Trailer of Suriya starrer 'Soorarai Pottru’
Amazon India on October 26 unveiled the trailer of upcoming Tamil film 'Soorarai Pottru'. The film features Superstar Suriya and narrates the real-life story of captain Gopinath of budget airline Air Deccan who fulfilled the dream of people to fly at the cost of Rs 1. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film will stream from November 12 on Amazon Prime Video in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Suriya’s 'Soorarai Pottru' Digital Release Postponed
The team of Tamil action-drama movie 'Soorarai Pottru' has postponed its release, citing a delay in obtaining No Objection Certificates. Originally scheduled to release on October 30 on Amazon Prime Video, the team is yet to announce a new date.
