Farmers Stop Screening Of 'Sooryavanshi''s In Punjab's Hoshiarpur

In Punjab's Hoshiarpur District, a group of protesting farmers over the new farms laws on November 7 forced five cinema halls to stop the screening of Akshay Kumar's film ''Sooryavanshi''. Farmers tore posters of the film and the reason behind this act was given that Akshay Kumar didn't support the farmers in the protest. Moreover, the protesters added that they won't allow screening until the laws are repealed.

Akshay, Katrina Starrer 'Sooryavanshi' To Hit Big Screens On April 30

Bollywood movie 'Sooryavanshi' starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will hit the big screens on April 30. Produced by Karan Johar and directed by Rohit Shetty, the movie was earlier slated for release on March 24, 2020 but got postponed for almost a year owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Taking to Twitter on March 14, Akshay and the movie makers shared their excitement and a short video to announce the release date.
