Photographer Shot 1,000 Hrs In 12 Years To Create Milky Way Panorama
Finnish photographer JP Metsavainio has created a panorama of the Milky Way in over 12 years with 1200 hours of exposure. The panorama with 1,00,000 pixels wide and 234 mosaic panels stitched together features over 20Mn stars. Astrophotographer by profession, Metsavainio started working on it in 2009 and used Photoshop to do the mosaic work. Photographer Captures ISS In Front Of Moon, 400 Km Away From Earth
In a rare incident, space photographer Andrew McMcarthy has captured pictures of the International Space Station in front of the moon while it was preparing for the Extra-Vehicular Activity. Known for capturing wonders through his telescope, Andrew was trying to capture the ISS pass by the moon in the background. Reportedly, the ISS had a scheduled six-hour spacewalk to upgrade the floating space stations.
