'Ghost Village' In Spain Reappears After 30 Years

Aceredo, also called as "ghost village" in Spain was submerged 30 years ago. It has now resurfaced after the water levels dropped, exposing the ruins of submerged houses. Furthermore, pictures of skeletal remains of the houses and farmhouses from the area were also revealed. Reportedly, the residents of the village were evicted from their homes in 1992 for the reconstruction of a reservoir.

Chennai Air Customs Seize Ganja, Psychotropic Tablets

Authorities in Chennai intercepted a massive consignment of drugs comprising ecstasy tablets, LSD stamps and high quantity of cannabis. People have been arrested in connection with the seizure valued at Rs 58 lakhs. Based on a tip, the Air Customs officials opened a cardboard box delivered from Spain containing greeting cards. Upon opening, officials found pink colour tablets which were later identified as MDMA tablets.

Three Indian boxers had to withdraw from the 35th Boxam International Tournament finals in Spain, due to the COVID-19. Reportedly, after the Olympics qualifier, boxer Ashish Kumar tested COVID-19 positive, following which his roommates Mohammed Hussamuddin and Sumit Sangwan also had to withdraw from the finals. 4 Lions In Barcelona Zoo Test Positive For COVID-19

As per the Barcelona Zoo veterinary officials, four lions - Zala, Nima, Run Run and Kiumbe - have been tested positive for the COVID-19. The results have been revealed after an RT-PCR test. Reportedly, it is the second case in which big felines have contracted COVID-19. Two zoo employees have tested positive for COVID-19 after the disease was first reported in November. Moreover, officials are tracing the source of infection.

'Beginning' Outshines Others At San Sebastian International Film Festival

Besides bagging prime award 'Golden Shell', Georgian-French drama 'Beginning' outshone others by winning multiple awards at San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain. The movie, written and directed by Dea Kulumbegashvili, won the Best Director, Best Actress, and the Best Screenplay award. “I hope it serves as an example for other directors working on their first features that go through rejection just like I did," said the director.

Football: Newly-joined Real Sociedad Player David Silva Tests Positive for COVID

FC Real Sociedad has confirmed that midfielder David Silva, 34, has been tested COVID-19 positive after arriving in San Sebastian. The Spanish club stated that the former Manchester City player is not showing any symptoms and is self quarantined. German Government Adds Spain to High-Risk Countries List: COVID-19

German government has added Spain to the list of high-risk countries after facing risk of a second wave of the virus, due to a surge in the Covid-19 cases in Spain. Travelers from high-risk countries will have to undergo mandatory testing and quarantine. However, Germany’s health minister stated that, "The at-risk label is not a closing of borders and is not a travel ban".
