Sanjay Raut Files Bail Petition Before Special Court Judge

Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut, who is currently under custody in a money laundering case linked to a housing project in Mumbai, applied for bail. On September 7, he filed a petition before a special court in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Notably, Raut's bail plea is likely to come up for hearing before judge MG Deshpande, presiding over the special PMLA court, on September 8.

Shiv Sena's Sanjay Raut To Appear Before Special Court For Money Laundering Case

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, arrested in a money laundering case by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) will be produced before a special court in Mumbai, on August 8. As per sources, ED sought more than eight days of custody of Raut, as the custody ends on August 8. Furthermore, the ED also assured to make remarkable progress in the investigation of the irregularities in the Patra Chawl re-development case.

Satyendar Jain's ED Custody Extended For 14 Days In Money Laundering Case

A special court extended the judicial custody of Satyendar Jain, the Health Minister of Delhi by two weeks. On June 13, the court extended the Enforcement Directorate (ED) judicial custody of the AAP leader, arrested in the money laundering case. Furthermore, the Delhi High Court accepted his bail plea of Jain and adjourned the matter to a hearing for June 14.

NCB Seeks 90-Day Extension To File Chargesheet In Aryan Khan's Case

A special court on March 30, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, will hear a plea by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Aryan Khan's case. In addition, the NCB is seeking an additional 90-day time from the special court to file a charge sheet in the case. Notably, Aryan Khan, son of actor Shahrukh Khan, is one of the prime accused among the 20, in the case.

38 Convicts Given Death Sentence In 2008 Ahmedabad Blast Case: Special Court

The Ahmedabad HC on February 18, sentenced death sentence to 38 convicts and life imprisonment to 11 in 2008 blast case. Recently, the special court judge AR Patel concluded quantum of sentence arguments and reserved orde for February 18. A total of 49 people were convicted and 13 were acquitted in the 26 July  2008 bomb blast, which killed 56 people and left over 200 injured, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Anil Deshmukh To Be In ED's Custody Till Nov 12: Bombay HC

Setting aside a special court's order, a vacation bench in the Bombay High Court on November 7 sent Maharashtra's former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in Enforcement Directorate's custody till November 12. The special court on November 6 remanded Deshmukh to judicial custody for 14 days. Reportedly, the ED arrested the minister on November 1 in connection with a money laundering case. He's accused of misusing his power for corruption.

Myanmar: Suu Kyi Appears In Court In Person For 1st Time Since Coup

Aung San Suu Kyi was produced before the court in person for the first time on May 24. Previously taken as a military prisoner, the ousted Myanmar leader was only allowed to contact her defending team via video calls. The hearing was focussed on the six charges she faced and two of them for violating COVID-19 norms during the election campaign, illegal use of walkie-talkies and unlicensed use of radio.
