UP Police Registers Case Against Gangster Asad's Encounter
The recent killing of gangster Asad, the son of Atiq Ahmad has triggered a political controversy. On April 13, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) encountered Asad and another accused in Umesh Pal Murder Case. The opposition said, the intent of the encounter was to kill as the two received more than forty gunshots. A case has been registered against the task force for encounter and investigation launched.

Additional Private Secratary Gaurav Chauhan Arrested In UKSSSC Paper Leak Case: Uttarakhand
Probing into the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission paper leak case, Superintendent of Police of Special Task Force Ajay Singh, informed about the latest arrest of Gaurav Chauhan, Additional Private Secratary working in public works and forest department of the state. Around 15 arrests have been made so far, in a case pertaining to a question paper leak. The exam was conducted on December 4 and 5 for 854 posts.

STF Seizes Brown Sugar Worth Rs 1.20 Crore, Arrests 4: Odisha
In Odisha, the Special Task Force seized brown worth Rs 1.20 crores, confirmed police on June 26. They also arrested four accused, identified as Rakesh Kumar Barik, Biranchinarayan Sahoo, Jagabandhu Biswal and Santosh Routray. The STF also registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act 1985, and launched an investigation. Notably, this is the second seizure of brown sugar, as, on June 25, the police seized worth crores.

6 Held For Boards Paper Leak In Ghazipur: Uttar Pradesh
The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh has held six people for helping students cheat in Class 10 and 12 Board examinations in Ghaziabad district. In addition, The principal, teacher, and other staff members were demanding bribes of Rs 25,000 from students appearing for the examinations. Notably, the police have registered a case under the relevant section and the accused were taken into police custody for questioning.

Police Special Team Busts Rs 40 Lakh Worth Drug Racket In Telangana
The Rachakonda Police Operations Special Team seized 320 kg of marijuana worth Rs 40 lakh from an alleged peddler, M. Raj Kumar, in Telangana's Saroornagar district. According to the police, the drug was being smuggled and transported from Andhra Pradesh to Karnataka through Hyderabad. The 28-year-old accused aimed to transport 152 sachets concealed under empty fruit trays. Besides, each kilogram was reported to be sold at Rs 10,000.

West Bengal Police Arrests Man With 5 Kg Heroin Worth Rs 25 Crore
Kolkata Police's Special Task Force (STF) recovered over five kilograms of heroin worth Rs 25.09 crore from Purba Bardhaman district’s Rasulpur Bazar on March 1. Following a tip-off, the STF arrested one peddler recovering the narcotic drug from his vehicle. Moreover, the peddler is now being interrogated by the Kolkata police of any links with recently arrested BJP leaders, including Pamela Goswami who was found with 90 gm cocaine.
