PM Modi Addresses Nation On I-Day, Calls India "Mother Of Democracy"
After hoisting the national flag, on the 76th Independence Day, PM Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the Red Fort, Delhi, on August 15. In his speech to the citizens, PM Modi called India "Mother of Democracy". In his speech, Modi remembered the philosophers and freedom fighters, who struggled for the Independence India. "An aspirational society is important for any nation," said PM Modi and recalled the philosophy of Gandhi.
