After another glitch in the SpiceJet flight, the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a show-cause notice to the airlines over its degradation safety margins. The government of India has reportedly accepted the proposal of Tata Group's bid for Air India. Tata Group was already the front runner in the bid, among many others including SpiceJet'. Two SpiceJet pilots flying the SG960 Bengaluru-Guwahati flight have been suspended by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) officials as they undershot the runway while landing. The Twin Otter 300 seaplane, leased by SpiceJet, touched Kerala's Kochi Venduruthy channel for refuelling from Maldives on October 25. The one-of-its-kind aircraft will operate between Sabarmati riverfront and Statue of Unity in Gujarat. According to Union Minister of State for Shipping Mansukh Mandaviya, the 19-seater aircraft will begin operations from October 31and it will carry 12 passengers at a time.
