Agitated Mob Vandalized Sports Complex Set For Inaugural: Manipur

An unruly mob vandalised and set on fire the venue where CM N Biren Singh is scheduled to attend a programme, at New Lamka in Churachandpur district. Local police quickly swung into action and dispersed the mob but not before the venue was damaged with hundreds of burning chairs. However, the agitated mobs managed to partially torched the newly set-up open gym at PT Sports complex, set for inaugural.

Assam Govt To Spend Rs 1,000 Crore For Infrastructure Development In Sports Sector: Bimal Bora

Assam's minister for sports and youth welfare Bimal Bora said that the state government has decided to spend Rs 1000 crore for the infrastructure development of the state's sports sector. Within two years, 10 sports complexes will be constructed at district levels and multipurpose stadiums will be constructed in 40 assembly constituencies. Reportedly, Rs 50 crore will be spent on each sports complexes and Rs 12 crore for the latter.

Delhi Unlock 6.0: Sports Complexes Reopen, Multiplexes Stay Shut

Delhi government has permitted the reopening of stadiums and sports complexes in its sixth phase of unlocking. However, the spectator's entry is not yet granted but the government has passed an order stating the sports facilities can function normally. Earlier, sports grounds and complexes were opened only for the training of national and international competitors. Besides, cinema halls, multiplexes, and swimming pools will remain closed.

South Kashmir To Receive a New Sports Complex Worth Rs 16 Crores

The fund has been released for the Construction of a new sports complex in South Kashmir's Bijbehara town of Anantnag district. The government initiated a 16 crore project built on 5.5 acres will become the training nursery for young players. “we have young talented players representing at the national level, Good infrastructure makes a difference," said Jammu and Kashmir Cricketer Pervaz Rasool.
