India's star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra defended his Asian Games gold medal with a best throw of 88.88m in the final at Hangzhou. Neeraj Chopra beat his compatriot Kishore Jena for the top honour. Kishore Jena overtook Neeraj Chopra at one stage in the final with his personal best throw of 86.77m but he ended with a silver medal as Neeraj registered his best throw after, claiming on top.

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has said the BCCI long ago cleared there won’t be any bilateral cricket with Pakistan till they stop cross-border terrorism and infiltration in India. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the revenue share percentages of the USD 600 million pool. The Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) expectedly got the biggest chunk, earning a whopping USD 230 million, which comes out to be 38.5 percent of the overall ICC revenue.
